About GadgetRights
GadgetRights explains what you are owed when a device fails: warranty claims, repair rights, and refunds, focused on the United States.
Who writes this
Nolan Reeve — Writes about warranty law, repair rights and refunds, with the statute linked so you can check it. Contact: hello@gadgetrights.com.
Nolan Reeve is a pen name. One person researches, writes and edits everything here, and writes under this name for privacy reasons. That does not change how the work is done: every guide links its sources so you can verify the claims rather than the byline, and corrections go to a real person at hello@gadgetrights.com.
We are not lawyers and this site is not legal advice. For a specific dispute, contact your state attorney general's consumer protection office or a licensed attorney.
How we research
Every guide follows the same method:
- Primary sources first — statute text, FTC guidance, and manufacturer warranty documents.
- We link the source so you can check the claim yourself rather than trusting us.
- Every guide carries a "last reviewed" date, because consumer law changes.
- Where a rule varies by state, we say so instead of stating a national answer that does not exist.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@gadgetrights.com and we will correct it and update the review date. We would rather be corrected than cited incorrectly.
How we make money
Through advertising and affiliate links. Affiliate links are disclosed inside every guide that contains one, before the link appears. See our affiliate disclosure for the full explanation.
